The Online Stage Performance Registration Process
Welcome to the Online Stage Performance Registration page. At India Fest 2009, close to 1,000 stage performers shared the stage
during the two day festival. In order to efficiently manage
such a large number of performers, choreographers, and coordinators,
a fully automated online registration process was implemented last year.
We are pleased to introduce the following enhancements to the registration process this year.
-
All performers and coordinators/choreographers are required to obtain a Nuv Yug ID individually before they
can be added to a Stage Performance Item.
Choreographers and coordinators, please make a note of this change and ask all your group members to obtain an individual Nuv Yug ID using the Get a Nuv Yug ID link.
- All performers and coordinators/choreographers will also need to electronically sign a Waiver.
- For performers born after 1991, a parent or guardian will need to get a Nuv Yug ID and electronically sign a waiver.
- It is very important that participants and coordinators provide correct birth year during Nuv Yug ID
registration. We need your help in making this process work! Please do not provide a fake birth year! Your registration will not be accepted, if we determine that false information was provided during your registration.
- With help of this enhancement, now all users of the website will be able to see their items when they login. It reduces the effort of coordinators and choreographers in communicating with performers.
Please read the following information carefully before
starting your user and item registration:
- All participants, choreographers, and parents or guardians of minor participants need to have an individual Nuv Yug ID. Remember, each person described above needs a unique Nuv Yug ID. If you created one last year, it is still available in the system. However, you need to update records and provide additional information. You must provide a valid email address, contact phone number and your birth year
to receive the
initial password. This process ensures that only people with a working
email address login at this site.
- The initial password is assigned by the system and provided to the
user via email within a few minutes of registration. This password
can be subsequently changed by the user. It is very important that
you enter your email address correctly. Please review the
screen shown after successful registration. It shows the
email address, where the password is sent.
- The Performance Registration process is Nuv Yug ID/password protected.
Please save your Nuv Yug ID and password. You will need it to sign
in to make changes to your submission.
- A coordinator/choreographer may register multiple items and manage
all items from one dashboard. Additional information such as new performers,
announcement script, etc. can be provided at a later time. Please note that this year, all performers and parents or guardians of minor performers will need to get a Nuv Yug ID individually before you can add them to your item.
- Most fields require a valid value. Therefore, please be
prepared to provide all required information.
- To add performers to your item, you will need to provide the Nuv Yug ID of each performer. Please gather
this information before you add performers to your item. You will
be able to add and remove performers later.
- Since performers are permitted to participate in multiple items,
we make every effort to allow time between two performances of a given
performer. Therefore, it is important that each performer uses the same Nuv Yug ID for all performances.
- Also note that a waiver is required from all performers or their guardians / parents. The system will track all waivers. It will show the waiver status of each performer to the choreographer / coordinator. A group with pending waivers will not be permitted to participate. Please monitor this area and make sure all performers have provided the waiver.
- All submitted items will be reviewed by the Stage Performance Committee.
Only complete submissions will be invited for an audition.
- Please note that submissions that do not comply with the Stage
Performance Guidelines may not be invited for an audition. If
selected for an audition, you will be provided information about the
time of your audition. Please refer to guidelines for audtion
date and venue information.
- All items will show a status as described below. You may make changes
to your item only when it is Incomplete. Limited changes are permitted after
the item has been submitted for committee's review.
- Incomplete: All items
are recorded as Incomplete upon initial submission.
The item stays in this status until you decide to submit the item
for review by selecting Submit for Review. Before you can submit an item for review, the system will require that it meets certain requirements per guidelines such as age and number of performers in your group.
- Under Review: When
you select Submit for Review and update the item,
the item is submitted for committee's review. The item stays in this
state until the Committee completes the review.
- Invited: If an Under
Review item meets all requirements as specified in the guidelines,
it will be invited for audition. The committee will update the status
of your item and assign a timeslot for audition.
- 2nd Audition: After
the first audition, some groups may be asked to attend the second audition
to make certain improvements.
- Scheduled: Congratulations!!
Your item has been selected and assigned a performance time slot at
India Fest.
- Wait Listed: Entries are invited for audition
on first come first served basis. Once a sufficient number of entries have been invited for audition,
subsequent entries will be Wait Listed. These entries will be considered only if a timeslot becomes available.
- We thank you for your cooperation in making this process work.
- Please contact us if you have questions
regarding this process.
